i purchased this product to have a spare housing in case my current one broke but it was too small to fit my current filter cartridge. The import and export ports were small compared to the one i currently have

Very leak prone, had to over tighten and use paste. Yea they were the proper thread size.

This SpiroPure water filter is decent overall. My complaint is the o-ring is trash right out of the box. It was either pinched when boxed up or damaged during manufacturing. I’ll have to locate an o-ring in order to use this water filter housing. Other than that, seems well made. There is no bypass valve and the listing did not say there was one so that’s fine. The plastic in the filter head and the housing is thick and seems heavy duty. Hopefully there isn’t a run of bad o-rings in these and mine is a one-off issue.

Works well with my two carbon block filters ahead off my regular fridge filter for clean water. Still not as good as Zero water filters, but should last a year or more. Gots it down to 27ppm dissolved solids.

I got the wrong one, but didn't send it back because the cyllinder and thebtool are universal. If not universal, it does fit the two water filter holders I have. I need one more to have three.
