Throughout my life, I have attempted to use various erasers and all of them were utterly useless until I discovered Staedtler Mars Plastic. Previous erasers are usually harsh on the paper and scim off the top surface leaving a grubby smudged mess, which changes the continuity and application of the pen or pencil markings thereafter. BUT NOT SO with STEADTLER, the plastic compound is light on the paper and removes all marks efficiently without damage. There is no substitute! ... I have always, for the last 10 years, ONLY bought these erasers for good reason.
