Purchased this product to satisfy the corresponding code my 2005 ford freestar was giving. Overall it appeared to be if the same build quality as the original. However it came in the box with no packing material so it was just bouncing around in the box in shipping. The plastic coupon cap was broken so I just put the one from the original in it. Very simple to install, and it cleared the code. However, after installing this, my van continued to idle rough and die but would not show any error codes. Long story short I took it to a shop where they determined the part was bad. Replaced it with a NAPA branded one and it works great and no I've paid the trying as much as I expected to because of a bad part. To be fair, this is the second bad part I purchased here so I'm super frustrated about it before learning this one was bad also. Gonna have to stop purchasing parts online!

I had an emissions check engine light come on in my 2005 Ford Freestar van, the code pointed to the EGR valve. This was a perfect replacement and solved the error light for about 1/2 the price for the part at the dealer.

I didn't know what an EGR valve was until my engine light on my 04 Ford Freestar came on. I took in to the local auto store and that was the typical problem. I got quotes on the part from 5 places in town and I was able to order it on Amazon for $30 cheaper. I changed it out easily since it was right on top and my light went off a few driving cycles later.
