Perfect replacement for a 1996 4.0L ford Explorer. If your code reader is throwing you ap0402 and has a follow up with a p1401 then change ir out. If the flow is excessive it will barely idle but that is a good sign as you EGR. Valve is not plugged. Start with the sensor, especially if it’s the original aluminum body type.
