I use my Starlink Mini mainly when RV camping, and sometimes finding clear sky means locating the antenna 100+ feet away. While the Starlink Mini's built-in router does work well, at that distance wifi signal inside the RV can be weak. So for this situation I prefer to run a long ethernet cable to a third party router located inside the RV. There are two problems with this: (1) normal ethernet cables do not have adequate water-proofing for where they plug into the antenna, and (2) once inserted into the antenna, it is extremely difficult to release the clip on the RJ45 connector to remove the cable. After looking around on Amazon, this product seemed like it might solve my problem. And it did, but with one drawback.First, the positive: the RJ45 end is well waterproofed. I have peace of mind that, even in the worst rain storm, water will not penetrate, potentially ruining my Starlink antenna. Although of less concern, the boot that goes around your ethernet cable is also well designed, and should keep water out. I can't say that both would keep out all water if submerged, but sorry, this is not something I'm going to test on a $600 antenna! Overall, everything seems well designed and manufactured for the task. Now the downside: once installed, because of the waterproofing, it is even more difficult to access the release clip on the RJ45 connector. Essentially, this means that once installed, there is likely no way to remove it from the antenna without destroying the adapter, or if not careful, also damaging the Starlink ethernet jack. Even with this drawback, it's still an improvement vs. not having this adapter because it's easy to remove the ethernet cable from the jack/boot end of adapter; but be prepared that even when you're not using an ethernet cable with your Starlink antenna, the adapter will still be attached. If you have OCD, this will probably annoy you! I wonder if some sort of removal tool could be provided to solve this? All in all, a very good product and generally solves the problem. If you don't care about the adapter being impossible to remove, this is a 5-star product; but for me it's only 4-star.

This extension is great for out door waterproofing of a short extension. I am using this to attach an ethernet cable to my enclosed trailer through the metal wall and it works great. It has a convenient way to add the waterproof cap to an existing ethernet cord so you do not have to wire on a new RJ45 Connection. I highly recommend this cable to anyone in the need for it!
