About this item

  • Direct Ethernet Connectivity: The Starlink Gen 3 Ethernet Adapter provides a seamless connection between the Starlink Standard V3 and MINI devices and standard Ethernet cables. This easy-to-use, plug-and-play adapter removes the need for cutting or crimping the original Starlink cables, ensuring a straightforward installation.
  • Durable, Advanced Design: Equipped with patented soldering-type RJ45 connectors, the Starlink MINI Ethernet adapter is built for heavy-duty, all-weather use. It reduces contact resistance by 50%, optimizing performance for your Starlink Gen 3 (REV4) system.
  • Extend and Repair Your Network: Effortlessly connect the Starlink extension repair adapter to Ethernet cables of any desired length. For best results, use Ethernet cables shorter than 175ft (50m) to reduce signal loss and minimize interference.
  • Robust Waterproof Protection: The Starlink RJ45 coupler comes with an IP67-rated waterproof kit, offering excellent protection against moisture, dirt, and environmental factors that could impact network performance, whether indoors or outdoors.
  • High-Speed Data Transmission: Crafted from 24AWG pure copper, the male-to-female extender ensures strong signals and fast data transmission up to 1200Mbps. Its full-metal shielding layer reduces signal interference, delivering reliable connectivity.

I use my Starlink Mini mainly when RV camping, and sometimes finding clear sky means locating the antenna 100+ feet away. While the Starlink Mini's built-in router does work well, at that distance wifi signal inside the RV can be weak. So for this situation I prefer to run a long ethernet cable to a third party router located inside the RV. There are two problems with this: (1) normal ethernet cables do not have adequate water-proofing for where they plug into the antenna, and (2) once inserted into the antenna, it is extremely difficult to release the clip on the RJ45 connector to remove the cable. After looking around on Amazon, this product seemed like it might solve my problem. And it did, but with one drawback.First, the positive: the RJ45 end is well waterproofed. I have peace of mind that, even in the worst rain storm, water will not penetrate, potentially ruining my Starlink antenna. Although of less concern, the boot that goes around your ethernet cable is also well designed, and should keep water out. I can't say that both would keep out all water if submerged, but sorry, this is not something I'm going to test on a $600 antenna! Overall, everything seems well designed and manufactured for the task. Now the downside: once installed, because of the waterproofing, it is even more difficult to access the release clip on the RJ45 connector. Essentially, this means that once installed, there is likely no way to remove it from the antenna without destroying the adapter, or if not careful, also damaging the Starlink ethernet jack. Even with this drawback, it's still an improvement vs. not having this adapter because it's easy to remove the ethernet cable from the jack/boot end of adapter; but be prepared that even when you're not using an ethernet cable with your Starlink antenna, the adapter will still be attached. If you have OCD, this will probably annoy you! I wonder if some sort of removal tool could be provided to solve this? All in all, a very good product and generally solves the problem. If you don't care about the adapter being impossible to remove, this is a 5-star product; but for me it's only 4-star.

This extension is great for out door waterproofing of a short extension. I am using this to attach an ethernet cable to my enclosed trailer through the metal wall and it works great. It has a convenient way to add the waterproof cap to an existing ethernet cord so you do not have to wire on a new RJ45 Connection. I highly recommend this cable to anyone in the need for it!
