I usually have pretty good luck with Stens parts. Sill made in Chy-na, but at least its not a no name brand. Of course the OEM John Deere part is also made in Chy-na so take it for what its worth.There are thee (3) flaws with this part. One isn't a big deal the other two are.First, it does not come with a grease fitting and it does not accept the same size as the factory spindle. You will have to supply your own. I do not believe it comes greased either!Second, it is not the same height as the factory spindle. Its off by about 1/8 of an inch. While that may not be a big deal to Harry Homeowner, it could be an issue for the discerning professional. Its actually a pretty big deal and should be rejected for that alone.Third, and this one is a biggie in my book, the pully hub does not pilot correctly to the pully. The hub is to small of a diameter. The pulley should interface with the top hub of the spindle. Automatic rejection.Now I'm questioning all Stens products.

Fit great, runs just like a bearing should. Have mowed about 9 hours on it so far, and it has held up fine. We Will see how long this one lasts to a factory one though to see if it was worth the money saved.

The spindle assembly was very well built. The only problem was that the tapped hole for the blade bolt seemed to be a little under size and I had to re chase the thread with a sharper tap. Up and running now.
