Obviously this won't fit every guitar. You will probably need to drill new holes in the steel plate to accommodate your guitar. (Like my 8 string with 5 offset holes)I saw someone say "handle too short"HAHAHA! (facepalm laughing)Yeah... the wingnut and hollow end is for adding a dowel or pipe to be used as the actual handle. This feature also allows you to secure the body vertically or horizontally while drying. It's designed to hold a guitar body while being painted. I don't expect beauty, but a solid weld between the plate and handle sleeve would give more confidence, but it works better than a stick of wood screwed to the neck pocket.

Handle is a little short and only fits certain guitars.
