I've been dressmaking for over 40 years and this is the first time I've used anything other than well known pattern brands such as Butterick, Simplicity etc that like me have been around for years. I was a bit phased when I realised it was paper but I have lots of tissue paper so soon traced it out. Two things to note.... With regard to sizing, I went by the measurements given and not the dress size. I cut to a size 8, I'm a good size 12. With regard to instructions, they were very scant in the pattern but I think they do something online. For anyone experienced in dressmaking you probably won't need anything above the diagram given. I found it straight forward.I'm 5'4" and did shorten the pattern by 2" before I started. To be honest I almost threw it together because I thought I'd end up altering it in all directions. But not only was it a lovely fit, it looks really nice on. I shall make more. I made this one in viscose but I might try linen next time. I'll definitely be trying more Style Arc patterns.

I was looking for an easy to make dress in a color block pattern to highlight a bold print I bought in Japan (hand printed kimono fabric). It took a couple of weeks to get, but I was delighted with the pattern. It was easy to make and I love the look. It is super-comfortable and easy to wear.

Style Arc makes their dresses a bit more contemporary than standard patterning. I love that they are available on Amazon.

Do not buy.Instructions are awful.Measurements and sizes are bad.It costs way to much money to be that bad.What a rip off.I have sewn for over 40 years and this is one company to stay away.The dress I made was my size and it turned out twice as big.Don't waste your money.

Horrible. There's several pieces of fabric and no clear directions/ instruction of where all these pieces go. Also the printing of the pattern is off causing you to have to make your own conclusion of where to cut for your proper size. For such as expensive pattern, I expected more- like instructions for one. Sorry, I tried uploading a picture to explain better but it's not working. Go figure. I do not recommend buying this pattern.
