So the crossmember that passes through the top hole of the main body (to make it a "T") isn't welded to stay in place. Very frustrating. This is the only piece that allows the hand to twist the implement. It's unnecessarily labor intensive to keep fidgeting with a T bar that wants to keep sliding out.

The big problem with this tool is that the crossbar for the T is not firmly affixed, not stationary. I could find no way, other than using an adhesive, to firmly set the crossbar, which is probably not a long-term solution. I have no idea why a set screw (or some other mechanism) was not provided. Not recommended!

The tool does work for some things, but it's not very sharp. This greatly limits the materials it can be used on. Another annoying feature is the T bar has no kind of retainer like a center detent or set screw so it shifts around and falls out constantly. It's made from quality hardened steel, but poorly. Maybe try a different brand.

I used this to install an endpin jack in an archtop acoustic. It's a quality tool and worked well.
