Your cart is empty.The TJ rear upper shock bar pin eliminator kit increases your shock options by eliminating the need for a bar pin. Bar pins have the tendency to become loose and allow the shock eyelet to move side to side reducing shock effectiveness. The bar pin eliminator converts the shock to a traditional captured shock mount - and you can now forget about replacing broken bar pins. The eliminator kit installs in the place of the factory bar pin and includes adapter brackets, shock sleeves, and all necessary hardware.

Bought a set of these for my XJ. The brackets are very sturdy! I found it was easier to build them off the jeep and then bolt them up as normal. The brackets are a tight fit on the upper bushing, but I did not have to modify them in any way. Works as described and didn't destroy the bushings upon install like a bar pin would. Definitely recommend!

Decently heavy. Mine were about 1/8 inch thick. My 98 wrangler hasn’t been able to budge them after install with fresh shocks. Would consider welding them in personally.

Man these things saved me a hell of a lot of time. Prior owners screwed up the top rear shock mounts and cut up the tub. Jack wagon’s they were. All welded tub and these are in.

It came in a small box with everything it said it would. After getting the old bar pin (recommend using a grinder to cut the pin so you can remove it) out, it was a very quick and easy install. You will have to use some brute force to get it on the end of the strut, but a few minutes of messing with it should produce the results you want.The construction is solid. I'm pretty sure these will outlast my jeep

Installing this upcoming weekend. Relatively simple part, so I don't foresee any real issue; hardware is intact and packaged fine; good powdercoat quality, seem sturdy enough for the application. Will update this review after installation and after some time of use and abuse.

When removing the rear sway bar from my ‘95 Jeep Cherokee, the bolt on one of the brackets was so rusted into the bushing, I damaged the bracket when pressing it out.These brackets were the closest thing I could find that would work. Had to elongate the mounting holes on a drill press to get them to fit the u-bolt, but otherwise have worked out great.

New HD off road shocks come with the bar pin loose for user installation. These brackets eliminate the need for the bar pin and reduces the chances of breaking the small 1/4 20 or equivalent metric bolts off in your Jeep.The only con is the metal bracket seems on the thin side.

Be aware that when removing the rear bar pins, the bolts snap off very easily, so you might need to drill the old bolts out out or weld these bar pin eliminators in place. I welded them and it worked well. Durable finish on these, and you can use a cotter/clevis pin setup to make removing shocks a breeze.
