Very good clamp for HVAC

These clamps seem good but, are not. To see if they work well, I had my kid hold the tips of my original temp wires in his fingers at knee level while seated. I used my laser gun to see if the temp is within + - 3. The gun and wires are within .09 degrees. The clamps were less than 10 degrees. Yes, 10 degrees. Don't buy them unless you need clamps to hold your original wires.

The leads are too short. They could be another 12 inches to get farther away for the unit.

Been using this here and there over the past couple months, after getting a brand new UEI multimeter I finally decided to go through all my thermocouples and do the old ice bucket test. Every one in my arsenal was within 0.7 °C of zero except this bad boy. After about three minutes it settled in at about 4°C.Right in the trash she went, and then it came back out, still might be a good clamp for something not temperature related.2 stars if you want a spring loaded clamp, and maybe a spare thermocouple plug, 1 star as a measuring instrument.

The tip of the clamp is actually very bulky. Doesn't work well in a tight space where you might not have a lot of clearance to maneuver to get around the pipe.

Only got to use for 2 weeks then went to get itPivot area cracked just from sitting under closed spring tension. Junk not usable.
