Without the typo - a full five stars. On the outside cover (which doubles as a stand for the cards) there is a typo on the Major 3rd after the minor 3rd in the chromatic interval semitones across the top of the page. The m3 minor is correct but the following M3 Major is noted above the M3 as a Minor 3rd. I've not found any other typos - yet - but I have just unpacked them from the nice envelop in which they came. Its just a typo BUT for a beginner this could really be a head scratcher. The cards are solid, heavy cardstock. The colors are nicely contrasted. Us old guys will need the glasses but it is marked well and easy to read. The cards are loaded with info on both sides. The idea is that you will only need these for a while then be able to do without it! Time - practice - and more time. Can't think of a much better way to spend it!

Eigentlich......darf ich gar nicht meckern, denn die Produktbeschreibung stimmt exakt. Die Wertigkeit ist überdurchschnittlich. Was ich von meinen Augen nicht behaupten kann, denn dann hätte ich aufmerksamer gelesen und gewußt das ich damit nichts anfangen kann. Ansonsten für alle mit Adleraugen ein tolles Produkt.

I bought the larger cards (6x8) because I'm middle-aged and my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Even considering that the print on these cards is SMALL. Granted, they are packed with information. But unless you have microscopic vision, you will not be able to read the chords without pulling the cards close to your face and squinting. Even then, I cannot read the numbers in the tiny black dots. Even if I could read them, grabbing and inspecting the card interrupts any flow or practice you might be using them for. I'm not sure what the answer is other than making 8x10 or 10x12 cards, but at $3 apiece for the 6x8s, I'd hate to see what those would cost.

If you really want to study how to play a guitar I cannot imagine you would need much more than this other than learning some technique and strumming patterns, The reason for dropping it down a star is that they are smaller than they seem to be in the pictures. For us older folks it is going to be a bit difficult to see while playing a guitar. I wish they were printed on Vinyl so they would hold up better but I think you would have to be a bit rough on them to destroy them beyond use. So not a waste of money but not a product I bought that I am thrilled when I opened up the package and saw it. Not dissapointed but certainly no enthusiasm about what I got.

Alright. Misspelling. The scales are garbage. It's literally the same exact scale for every scale with the root note almost impossible to see do to them being very dark purple on black and not tomention nothing is numbered... It just ask looks black. Whoever the design team was did a very lazy job. However. I mainly bought this for chords. It works fine for that. Only gripe is that it doesn't tell you what finger is used where. For me that's not such an issue but for a new player it would cause problems bad form bad habits in general. So I'm general its garbage lol.But. If your looking at expanding your chord work and you have a good general idea of finger placement then this works. It's small and easy to transport which is the main reason for my purchase.

I have owned a nylon string guitar for months and I have been dreading it for as long. I couldn't wrap my head around the strings. I'm a fairly comfortable pianist and composer, but I just couldn't visualize any theory on the guitar.I understood that it's tuned in fourths (except for B, which is a third of G), I understood that each fret is a semitone, but I couldn't keep track of where the scale degrees were. Which is what helps with the piano the most (for me).These cards have made me super comfortable with the guitar. I get it now. I still don't bother with remembering the names of each individual note, but I used it by looking at the Ionian Mode Major Scale (back of Scales card), and just strung each note and counted the scale degrees (i.e; 1, 2, 3, 4, etc) in G Major.Combined that with the back of the Triad card, I noticed that all major chords have the same structure, and all minor chords had the same structure. Where the root, third, fifth for any triad was. Weird patterns showed up like the fifth of any root note is literally the one above it (except for on the B string, that string takes a while to get used to, but I see why it helps it being a third). Also where the next octave was for any given root note. If you can find it, you automatically now know where it's fifth is.Combine that with either the tone or chord cards, and boom, there you go, you're well on your way just spending an hour on the guitar making music out of your heart.By far the best purchase for learning the guitar for anyone who knows basic-intermediate music theory already.
