The StableLoad dramatically improves the vehicles handling characteristics by "reactivating" the stabilizing effect designed into the rear springs by keeping them actively under load the way your vehicle factory engineers designed them to operate. All StableLoads are designed to dramatically improve the handling characteristics of your loaded vehicle by “pre-loading” the factory overload spring. The Quick Disconnect StableLoad Series (patent pending) incorporates a unique design that allows the StableLoad to quickly engage or disengage your overloads, enabling your vehicle to return to the soft stock ride in just seconds. This is accomplished by bolting each of the four StableLoads onto each overload end (two per passenger side, two per driver side). The Quick Disconnect StableLoad Series is designed with a tapered wedge mounted to a hinge mechanism that allows the StableLoad to be hinged in or out of position using a common 3/8” ratchet extension and ratchet. I bought these for my ‘13 Chevy 2500 short box for hauling my camper! What a difference! I’ve had them on the truck now for five years! The first year I think I turned them out once but now they’re rusted and probably stuck in place. Doesn’t matter though they work for the truck camper as well as the fifth wheel. I had to replace one clip pin I lost somewhere, probably driving over brush. Good product and I recommend to try before air bags or the hard rubber bump stops they sell.

I purchased this for my 2013 Ford F350 SRW. I needed it to level out my suspension because of a 3000lb truck camper that I carry when camping. It accomplished that. I didn't not need to drill any holes in my springs. They fit without any modifications to my truck. I did not consider purchasing upper StableLoad because my upper overload spring is already fully engaged when my camper is on the truck.A few comments - My overload springs were already fairly engaged without a load and the space between the overload spring and the rest of the spring stack was very narrow. Too narrow to install even one piece of the StableLoad. I needed to jack up my truck a substantial amount and then use a 5ft long pry bar between the overload spring and the primary spring stack to install the StableLoad. The bolt that holds the stack required the most clearance. It was pretty difficult to jack up my truck given my bumper is 20" off the ground with no load (this is a factory 4x4 with no aftermarket lift). People with even minor physical limitations may have trouble. For certain, you will need a substantial jack.My StableLoads will be engaged full time because to disengage them would require me to jack up the truck again. That is impracticable and tremendously time consuming. However, having them engaged full time is not a problem for me as I do not experience any difference in ride quality when my truck is unloaded. My F350 has always had a truck-like ride. I suppose people with a F150 might have a different experience as their suspension tends to be more car-like.Some reviewers have said that this product stopped porpoising. It does not stop it for my truck. But again, my overload springs were already fairly engaged and I purchased the product only to keep the load more level. My truck can still porpoise on certain bridges.I would buy this product again. Regardless, I do believe it is overpriced. There is very little to this product except a stack of metal shims and some bolts. The manufacturing and materials cost of this product is likely $30. A handy person who didn't mind leaving the product engaged could easily make this product with off the shelf items from a hardware store.

First of all I would like to thank the previous purchasers that replied to my question it helped my decision making.A bit of advice for the install: Read the instructions, then go to etrailer.com and watch the install video (some are also available on youtube and on the Torklift site). Can be installed with socket set and crescent wrenches. In my case I only have metric and all nuts and bolts fit.The StableLoad really improves how your suspension works by "pre-loading" the rear leaf springs. It will help stabilize your rig when carrying loads in the box.I even tried them without any load and I felt that the whole truck handled in a "tighter fashion" and did not feel as bouncy even on rough roads.Truck GMC 2500HD with 6.6 Duramax. Load: Northern Lite 9.6 camper. Now lets get through that Covid stuff so i can go camping. Let's all be patient about it we are all in it together.

The worst thing about using these is having to work around the tires while activating and deactivating them. I use an old towel draped over the tire when I do that. Otherwise I swear by them. I put them on my GMC 3500 and carry a ten foot camper. The truck rides level with no side to side or front to back sway, bounce, jounce or what ever.

Fairly easy to install once you have everthing laid out and I pre-assembled it all on the bench so I only needed to bolt it to the overload spring. I installed mine on the inside of our 2017 Ram 3500 just in case I ever need clearance for chains. Not a bad idea to watch the videos as it gives you a better idea of how it goes together. Another great Torklift product.

I installed these on my 2015 F150 to help support a truck camper. I am disspointed in the hardware quality, and am not happy that there are bolts and other things hanging out near my wheels. I use these in the winter time, and the snow and ice buildup concerns me. They also get in the way of the Hellwig sway bar that I installed.Overall, the concept is good, and my truck handles the load much better now, but the implementation and the hardware is poor.

They work and were simple to install but the tapered fit was not as advertised.

I installed these on a recommendation from another pickup owner. I went from a Ford to a GMC and found the ride way too soft and mushy. These did the job to stiffen it up and reduce porpoising when towing my boat. We did take a 3200 mile road trip and I backed them to provide a luxury car ride. Back home they were reengaged to haul a load or tow the boat.Installation took a bit to figure out. The instructions could have been more clear. But everything was provided and doing a dry fit solved it. I jacked up the back of the truck to take pressure off the springs during the install and that made it fairly easy.

Excellent product, The Best! But it loses two stars for being overpriced.

These are a great idea. Unfortunately aerodynamic flare on front of rear quarter of 2015 Sierra does not allow use of 2 front ones. Thinking of modifying these flares to allow space. (They are just plastic worth $50 each to replace if I destroy them) Also extra overload spring added to suspension would enhance their effectiveness.

Installed on 2014 GM 1500 Double Cab 4x4 w/ 8' pop-up truck camper (dry weight 1410 lbs.). D.I.Y. difficulty rating 4 of 10. I used (2) wedges per bracket which improved my 'squat' and sway issues notably. The truck sits level (no more night time headlight flashes from oncoming traffic) and any sway or handling concerns I had earlier have largely been eliminated. This was important because the bed length is only 6'-6" and the 8' camper's center of balance falls slightly behind the truck's rear axle. This is not recommended (should be ahead of the rear axle), and to accommodate the 8' camper, I also have to leave the tailgate on but down. This further requires the use of an extended receiver hitch ball mount when towing trailers (I use Hidden Hitch p/n 80232) and careful monitoring of tongue weight. Just back from a 2500 mi. 'shakedown' trip w/ camper and 3000 lb. trailer and the bottom line... the TorkLift StableLoads worked as advertised and made my less-than-desirable camping rig much, much safer and enjoyable to operate. I may add another wedge for my next trip, but any initial thoughts that these were pricey or of questionable value are long gone. Much less expensive than airbags and provide better sway control according to mfg. If you're on the fence, buy them!

I received the Tork Lift Stable Loads quickly and my order was correct. I installed them on a 2013 Chevy HD2500. The instructions were ok. They fit my springs correctly. They work as advertised. I have a truck camperer and it had just a bit of sway when we encountered a crosswind. The Tork Lift Stable Loads eliminated the sway. I highly recommend them.
