I’m not too scared that my 11yo is gonna have a neck injury. He isn’t at that level yet, or maybe I’m just naive. I wasn’t looking forward to piling on more gear. This is quick, easy, and keeps him compliant.

This product is well-made, except for its thickness.. even our four year-old son isn't getting full coverage from this neck guard. I don't believe it's certified either and so if your league requires a certified neck guard - stick with the name brands

We got this for my son who is 8. His review is that it is mostly comfortable but a little bit to wide for his little neck. For the cost I feel it is a great value but could maybe be a bit softer material. It is easy to use and has adjustable sizing sonce it is velcro. Great functionality.

The functionality of this is fine. The only reason I deducted a star is due to the quality of the construction. My daughter has another neck guard that is much thicker and the quality of the velcro closure is much higher. The guards are the same price so the quality could have been better.I honestly thought my daughter would like this one better as she complained about her current one being "annoying", but the thickness of the material did not make a difference in her level of comfort. So comfort itself is negligible as this is a necessary component to her protection while playing ice hockey.I recommend this as an alternative if other brands at the same price point are unavailable.

I got this as a back up because our association requires neck guards now and they are small and easy to loose. Especially for my kid. The other brand that we have is slightly softer material and a thicker guards. This one has good woven material, a velcro closing for easy on/off, and is thiner. This neck guard will work well for school age or middle school age kids. The other brand we have is a little nicer than this, but my son likes that this one is thiner and gives him a little less movement restriction.

I picked this up for my almost 4-year-old son who seems to spend almost as much time with his head Ice level as not. He didn't complain or fuss about wearing it so that's a big win in my book. I'm happy to keep him a little safer as he starts his hockey journey. Plus, USA Hockey is requiring them sooooooo we don't have a ton of choice in the matter.

With the new USA Hockey mandates for next season requiring neck guards they're in high demand these days. I had the opportunity to have my son try this neck guard and see how he liked it.It's a ballistic type of outer cut-proof material and the inside has a thin fleece like layer.He's worn it for a week now, and so far there have been no complaints.It fits true to size and it's comfortable. Comes with a velcro closure system which is easy for him to put it on and take it off himself.Thumbs up from this hockey dad!
