What is exhaust gas recirculation valve?
The EGR Valve is an emission control device.
It modulates the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
It's used to reduce fuel consumption,improve engine performance.
Note: Before installing this part, check the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve passage in the intake manifold and clear any carbon blockage.
Failure to do so will result in repeat malfunction of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve system.

This EGR valve was easy to install however, after a few months my check engine light came on again. My smog guy said to invest in a more expensive unit. He said the reason it was cheap is because it was poor quality. I've since replaced it and haven't had any problems.
