I have a 2004 Chevy Avalanche. The steering sounded like a thump or thud noise when driving. I watched some youtube videos and people said replacing this will resolve that issue. Well, I replaced the part and yes it resolved my noise issue. The install is pretty straight forward and took me less than an hour to do it. The build quality of this part seems just as good as any, so no complaints there. Overall I am happy with this product.

Fit perfectly in my 2003 GMC Sierra. I was surprised at the difference in the steering after installation. Apparently my old unit was getting pretty loose and causing some excessive "slop" in the steering. the installation took about thirty minutes because I already had the dash opened up for some other work.It really improved the steering of my old truck! If your driving an older GMT-800 with lots of miles, this is definitely worth the investment!
