It's hard to describe how shoddy and useless this component was. Like you, I was looking for a new float for my carb rebuild and wanted to save some money if at all possible. All Balls makes a great rebuild kit but doesn't offer a float. So I bought this, expecting I might have to clean it up. Well, as you can hopefully see from the photo, this "new" component was beyond cleaning. The main body is made of some unbelievably low quality material which is covered in some kind of metallic coating. Upon arrival the coating was already falling apart and revealed just how shoddy this part is. I promptly returned it, grateful to have avoided installing it in my bike. Don't make the same mistake I did, just buy the OEM part.
