For my use so far this thing has worked pretty well. It has some weight to it and a good rubber base, so it doesn't slide much on a wood table. It comes with plenty of the wire mesh stuff and is a good size. I still like a good old sponge for cleaning large amounts of solder off an iron tip, but this thing helps me keep the tips shiny.
