Good blanks but how about simple printing software that doesn't require fbi clearance to write a check

I too use a versacheck software program that is over 8 years old. I have seen the newer versions, I prefer the old ... it makes more sense and is simpler to use. It works the same way as the previous review stated. With that said, I've always used the business check option of the software, never the personal check option, which is what I bought this paper for. I've used the versa check paper as well as other brands of check paper, and never had a problem with either the check paper or the software. As far as their tech support and service, I am just thankful I never needed it ... and stuck with the older version of the software.

I've been printing my own checks for a decade. In all those years I've only had (1) check returned. That was before every bank and store started using optical readers instead of magnetic ink readers. I have read multiple blogs, on line sites, retailers, etc... harping that you MUST or SHOULD buy magnetic toner/ink. I can't speak for everyone but I can assure you in the many years of printing my own checks I've only had that one problem. I've used ink jet printers but now prefer a standard laser printer. I use Versa Check software that is over 8 years old. I only use it to line up my information in order to print it out. Once you set up your template it keeps track of what check you should print next. The only problem is that you MUST put this check paper in straight and in the correct configuration. TEST it and make sure the banking codes and symbols on the bottom line up with the marks on the check. It doesn't have to be PERFECT but it should be aligned pretty close to the bottom and all numbers should be as straight as possible. I've had no problems if they are off a bit and SLIGHTLY angled. I move alot and this is why I started printing my own checks. I think it looks horrible when you cross out an old address and fill it in with the current one. It also may delay a check if your writing is bad. At first I was hesitant to print my own checks.. but that was a decade ago when it was a new concept to most. Even though many of us do 99% of our banking on-line; I do write important checks for the paper trail...
