When I purchased my older boat I had no idea what the water temp was and not gonna lie was a little concerned. This led to the purchase and took the boat out on the lake a couple days ago and was happy to see what used to be a worthless temp gauge turn into a useful piece of equipment.

Been chasing a non working temp gauge for 2 seasons. Boat runs normally but can't get a reading on the gauge. Replaced the sender first (with a knockoff brand) and that didn't fix the problem. Replaced everything else and that didn't fix it either. Decided it had to be the sender after some diagnosis so decided to go OEM and what do ya know it works! 1997 Volvo Penta 4.3 gl.
