Love this walk-in cooler door handset. I built my wife a 10'x10' walk-in refrigerator in our 1800s Victorian farmhouse, as we live the homestead life. Thus, we end up with a great deal of produce from our gardens and meat from our sheep, cows, chickens, hunting, etc. Anyhow, this handle provided a professional look with reliable functionality to my custom-made entry door. It's been in use now for over two months without a problem and I expect it to last for years to come, as it's SS coated metal. It actuates (opens and closes) very smoothly and confidently. Very pleased.

This is a decent freezer/fridge room door latch. It's surface mount so should be compatible with every door. It has two locking methods - a keyed lock which will leave the door handle locked or unlocked - and a position for a vertical pin lock which can be used to lock the latch closed, or lock it open so the door can't be latched closed. The inside button has a 6" long 1/2" shaft, which can be cut down for doors under 6" thick. It has a spring and rubber cover between the button and the door plate which does a pretty decent job of preventing air infiltration and the icing that would result and block use of the button. The inside button ALWAYS opens the door. It can be locked, and pinned, but the inside button (when properly installed) will always open the latch. It comes with machine screws for mounting all three parts - the latch itself, striker, and inside button, but no matching nuts nor specifications for the screws. The holes on the latch and striker are chamfered, but the screws are not, and the latch and striker are chrome but the screws are not, so you might want to get your own hardware anyway.Keys are included, but don't expect a high end lock, this can be raked open, and the locking bar can always be pushed away from the striker, but it keeps the curious away. There are no instructions, so make sure you have a professional who is bonded and insured install this - if not installed properly then the interior button will not work well, or could ice up and fail. This is not a failure you want to be liable for.
