Installed easily enough. Everything slide together and clamped up. But I had some rattling. I thought it was my workmanship and chased it around with some extra clamps and after confirming it wasn't the joint or the heat shield I got under it and put me ear up close and found the noise coming from the the resonator area toward the exhaust end. I assume some baffler or other is loose. It's been months so I'm not going to try to go through a return. I put the blame on myself for doubting my skills and I'll try again. I don't really see an alternative out there that's this inexpensive.Update: I bought a second one, same thing. Garbage product.

Installed in about 2 hours. I cut the old exhaust system about 6" after the catalytic converter. This pipe inlet was a bit dented at the engine side but vice grips made quick work and rounding it out. It fit well over the OEM pipe. I also installed Walker 54658 muffler with appropriate clamp and gasket. The exhaust C-clamp needed was 1 ³/⁴ inch. Overall I'm happy with saving $500 over the exhaust shop quote of $700.

Replaced everything from the cat back on a 06 scion Tc. The system fit perfectly. Just make sure that you use the special muffler clamp that is needed for the joint between the resonator pipe, and the rear muffler.

Simple install (I ended up paying a mechanic $80 to install this and the muffler. Simple one hour, not modifications. It is quiet now, and the vehicle has a lot more pickup with full back pressure! Great value if you have compared to the egregiously priced Toyota part!

I just inserted this into my 2006 Scion XA's exhaust system and here was my experience. I'm rating three stars because there were some significant challenges for me as an exhaust system newbie and I expected this to fit my Scion with a little less hassle. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic. Here is how the assembly fit my Scion.(a) The overall shape of this was perfect. I am referring to the twists and turns it makes as well as the overall length.(b) The diameter of the pipe forward of the resonator was NOT the same dia as the stock pipe.(c) The resonator has a smaller dia than the stock resonator (see photo.)(d) The forks that are used to suspend this section of pipe from rubber mounts do not have the mushroomed ends that the stock forks have. As a result, they ride loosely in the rubber mounts rather than snapping into place.(e) I was unable to make the end that goes into the muffler mate with my muffler. The mating part of my muffler was very rusted and I could not tell whether it was supposed to be male or female, so I can't comment on gender appropriateness with an OEM muffler. This was the first exhaust work I ever did and I could tell my installation was wrong as soon as I started up the car. A 15 minute test drive resulted in lots of exhaust in my cabin and I was sick for about two hours after a 15 minute drive. I mention this as a warning to other newbies that exhaust work is serious business. I will recount what I did and how I rectified my amateurish, dangerous installation with the help of a local garage.I don't weld, so I had to get creative with how I connected the input and output ends of this pipe. To adapt the front end to the existing pipe I wrapped metal from a can around the pipes and secured it with a couple of hose clamps. To attach to the muffler, I butted flange-to-flange using the old clamp and a gasket. Like I said in the last paragraph, this was not the way to do things.Fortunately, a local garage replaced my connections with some sleeves, welded everything in, and I was safe and sound. Garage fees were $73.27. No one got hurt as a result of my ignorance and I learned a lot about exhaust work. Compared to prices I have paid to have garages do all the work for me, I think this was a very economical overall solution and I plan on doing as much exhaust work as I can from here on out with my local garage lined up for welding everything in.
