As these are "WHITIN Water Shoes for Women and Men | Multi-Purpose Barefoot Aqua Socks | Anti-Collision Toe Cap", which has "aqua socks" hidden in there, one might think that they are good on their own. The inside of them is largely finished off to be smooth, but the top is given a quick seam and then the edge hangs loose. This wears against the back of my foot uncomfortably without any socks. The insoles have bumps that annoy my feet anyway, but those are easily changed. With socks, the shoes are pretty comfortable. I took them on a round in the rain and they stuck to a large variety of rocks and even the slick, smooth step wood that has felt oiled in its slickness in other shoes. I have slipped on that wood many times, but I couldn't even slip when trying in these. My foot moves about in them since there's no way to tighten them. The cord lock slips on the elastic around the tops, so even the one bit of sort of tightening really doesn't do anything. It's meant for keeping out debris only. Still, they're easy on and they do stay on. My socks got wet at various times and then seemed to dry out a bit as I walked, just over the next few minutes. I didn't finish with dry socks, but they're moist rather than the soggy that I get in other recently wetted shoes. The soles are thick and pointy rocks are no worries. The insoles are quite squishy. They aren't particularly light. This pair of size 10 weigh 450g (15.9oz) dry, of which 34g can be saved by leaving out the insoles. Product details says 5.29oz, which is way off. Maybe that's one shoe in a much smaller size.

I ordered these WHITIN Water Shoes for Women and Men | Multi-Purpose Barefoot Aqua Socks | Anti-Collision Toe Cap water shoes for my teenage son; he is going to camp at Interlochen this summer, and I’m getting a head start on the inevitable camp shopping list.I like these water shoes because they’re sturdy and well made; they should last the six week program. Interlochen is an arts camp, but apparently they still swim and do a few traditional camp activities; my son has been at opera camps the past summers, and hasn’t had to pack athletic gear. These shoes are made from a stretchy, soft, perforated fabric; it feels a bit like neoprene or a soft foam. The sales page doesn’t say what materials are used in making the uppers; it does say that the soles are rubber.I ordered these in grey; my son’s favorite swim suit is black, so I thought grey and black water shoes would complement it well. The packaging of the shoes said they were grey, but the water shoes I received are their green color. This is a nice color, too; it’s a vivid blue green, slightly to the greener side of turquoise. My son would have preferred the grey, but he liked the green uppers/black sole combo too, and said these were very comfortable to wear. These water shoes have a removable inner lining; it’s about 1/4” thick and made of what feels like foam; it’s supportive, flexible, a bronze color, and has a pattern of small hexagons. My son liked the cushioning; the bottom sole is fairly light and flexible, and the inner lining gives more cushioning against rocks or other things in the water. Interlochen has a lake, so water shoes need to be somewhat protective; the inner lining gives an added layer between his feet and the bottom of the lake, or whatever he walks over to get there. The green uppers are soft and stretchy, they have a tab at the back to help you pull them on and off, and a drawstring at the opening. You can pull the drawstring tighter or loosen it with a small plastic bit; easy to find your own best fit.At the current price ($19.99) I think these deliver a lot of value. The water shoes feel sturdy, the materials are hardy, and they should last the summer and beyond. After many years of sending my son to camp, I’ve learned that nothing will receive special care and handling while there—I look for bargains that will wear well and stand up to well to teenage boys. These WHITIN water shoes are comfortable, well made, and built to last; the green color is eye catching and fun. My son is pleased with these shoes, I’m pleased by the price and quality, and pleased to check one item off a long shopping list for summer camp.

These water shoes worked out great for my husband and myself! They tighten nicely, we swam with them without them falling off and we walked on gravel and pavement with them. Great! I did size up (I'm normally a woman's 10) to an 11 and I got him a full size larger too. Glad I did that!

I bought these for a planned vacation. Haven't used them yet. I like the design of the shoe and hope they work out.

Bought as water shoes but as soon as I put them on I realized their REAL potential. I wear them as my house slippers. The thick rubber toe keeps me from stubbing my toes in the middle of the night or any corners around my house, and the cushioned soles just feel great. The rubber on the bottom also grip well. Will definitely be ordering another pair to keep handy in the future.

Due to a painful heel spur my foot doctor recommended wearing some sort of cushioned swim shoes when I use the pool for my aquatic exercises so I got these. They work pretty good, but could have just a little more cushion and some better arch support. They are comfortable and lightweight even when wet. I've only used them a few times but they seem pretty durable and they are easy to clean ... just rinse them real good in cold water. The inserts are also washable and removable. I remove them until they and the shoes are completely dry then just pop em back in. The shoes take about 12 to 18 hours to air dry completely in the house. I am sure they will dry much faster in warmer temps or outside in the sun though.

Worked well. I could walk with pretty good traction on wet rocks underwater, go in and out without too much sand getting in (of course the shoes got all sandy, but I mean they didn't fill with too much sand while I was wearing them, which can sometimes be a problem with water shoes.) They are still light and minimal enough to swim in, while protecting your feet when you want to stand or walk. Now that I'm home, I will spray these off with a hose to wash the sand off them, and save them to bring on my next vacation.
