Perfectly Aligned for Inside and Outside Measurements
BigCal is engineered to maintain precision and alignment between its inside and outside jaws, giving you exact physical references for accurate measurements every time. The dual-function locking nut not only secures the adjustable jaw in place but also squares it perfectly to the blade, eliminating any slip or wiggle when transferring dimensions. Additionally, the fixed jaw locks precisely at zero, allowing you to slide the adjustable jaw out of the way and use BigCal as a T-square when needed.
Accurate, Easy-to-Read Scales and Depth Gauge
BigCal features scales engraved in both 1/32" and 1mm increments, eliminating the need for complicated dials or confusing fractions. Turn the caliper over to find a reverse scale, which is perfect for measuring the depth of a mortise or groove. To make transferring measurements even easier, BigCal includes a scribing notch on the end of the blade, allowing you to mark dimensions directly onto your workpiece.
Robust Construction for Long-Lasting Performance
Each BigCal is precision-milled from high-quality stainless steel for maximum rigidity, even when the jaws are fully extended. The jaws are machined from solid blocks of aircraft-grade aluminum, finished in Woodpeckers' signature red, ensuring that your calipers remain looking great and performing flawlessly for years. The outside jaws are precisely squared to 1/8", allowing you to measure even the smallest slots or grooves with ease.
Available in Two Sizes for Greater Versatility
BigCal comes in two sizes to fit your specific woodworking needs: Large BigCal: Measures up to 24" (600mm), extending well beyond the capacity of standard calipers, which typically max out at 6". Small BigCal: Offers over 12" (300mm) of measurement capacity, perfect for medium-sized projects while maintaining all the precision features of the larger model.
Both sizes feature jaws that measure 2-1/4" deep for outside measurements and 3/4" deep for inside measurements. Each BigCal also includes a wall-mountable Rack-It, so your caliper is always organized and ready to go when you need it.
Attachments: The T-Head attachment slides on the end of the rule and gives a 5” wide head for gauging depth or transferring dimensions. The Center attachments clamp to the jaws and the conical self-centering design allows you to take precise measurements of hole centers. Attachments come with Deluxe sets or available separately.

Each BigCal features imperial 1/32" scales and metric 1mm scales on each side of the stainless steel beam.
Depth Gauge
BigCal can be used as a depth gauge and features a scribing notch on the end of the beam for transferring the mark to your stock.
Wall-Mountable Rack-It
Each BigCal comes with a wall-mountable Rack-It to keep your new tool perched and reach to go to work.
T-Head Attachment
The T-Head attachment is available separately or with the deluxe sets. It gives you greater reference when gauging depth or transferring critical dimensions.
Center Hole Attachment
The Center Hole attachments (pair) are available separately or with the deluxe sets. They attach to the BigCal jaws, allowing you to easily find the exact center-t-center dimensions of holes.

The BigCal Deluxe Set (BC-DLX) includes both the 12"/300mm & 24"/600mm calipers, t-head attachment, pair of hole center attachments and Rack-It storage mounts.
