This soldering iron holder is a great value for your money. The design allows for a safe position for you iron, holders for additional tips, and a holder for the cleaning brass sponge. The build quality of the design insures that you will be able to use this product for a long time. The compact design and placement of all the features makes this holder so easy to use. With the holder being made of what I can only guess is aluminum, the frame is extremely light making moving it around very easy. Depending upon which surface you are using, you may want to add a bit of grip to the bottom if you typically apply the iron into the holder with great force. Personally, I have not experienced any problems with the holder staying in one place.

Great all metal body construction, it has a good weight to it so it's very stable on your desk, easy to use, nice design and angle, not to big, not too small, very nice size on your workbench. You get quality and good value for your money.

I needed a basic holder for a TS101 iron to keep in a bag, and this is perfect.Its super light weight and thin, but that is fine with me.I like that the brass wool has a lid so I can put it in a bag without pieces going everywhere.It does what I need, and it is an affordable price. If you really need something fancier than this, its because your iron doesn't fit, or you have a station with auto sleep. This doesn't have anything for that, which is why it's perfect for my needs

I got this as an upgrade from the old spring-style holder I had before. This is a massive improvement and I would highly recommend it. It’s very study and it holds my particular soldering iron perfectly. It provides plenty of space and airflow around the tip, while still protecting it from being accidentally touched while you’re working around it. I’m not sure what the holes in the top are intended for (holding extra tips, maybe?), but I’m going to use them to mount a couple “helping hand” clips to hold wires and such while I’m soldering.The included brass wool is a nice extra, too. The description doesn’t mention it, but the tin with the brass wool in it also has a layer of resin on the bottom of it. I think that’s a great idea because you can just use the brass wool for a quick clean, or press the iron all the way through the wool and into the resin for a more thorough cleaning.Overall, it’s an awesome value for anyone who wants a solid soldering iron holder on their workbench.

This is a very nice little soldering station. It perfectly holes my standard pencil type iron, keeping it perfectly in place and stable as I remove insert and clean my iron while working. It’s heavy enough so that it stays in place, and it has rubber feet that minimize sliding on every surface I’ve used it on, including polished granite.The included brass steel wool tip, cleaning material neatly stowes away in a covered can that protects the wool material while not in use, and also eliminates the possibility of small pieces and particles falling out.This unit is all metal and provides very good protection for the soldering iron tip while it is being stored. Using this stand is so much better and safer than trying to work with a hot soldering iron just lying on the bench. I am delighted with my new soldering iron station.

This is just what I needed to hold my cheapo soldering iron. It's heavy enough it doesn't move around on the desk, and now I won't burn anything unintended again. Melted the rubber on the handle of a brand new set of wire strippers, and that really irked me, so I'm glad to have this. I like the brass wool for cleaning the tip of my iron. I was using just a wet sponge. The only thing I'll say about it is that the tin that holds the wool just barely fits into its spot on the base. They put a big sticky foam cushion under there to hold it in place, but I wish it fit a little better. Hopefully it won't come loose when I'm trying to clean the tip with one hand while I'm busy soldering. Otherwise this is great.

I have a few different soldering irons on my bench and the one that I use the most has an automatic standby mode that I do not want on all the time. Easiest solution is to add a second holder to keep the iron in when I am soldering more frequently and don't want the tip to cool down between uses. This is the perfect solution and fits my iron perfectly. It is cheap in that it's just powder coated stamped steel, but it's well done enough that you'd never notice and it adds some weight to it that keeps it from sliding around on the bench. It is well done cheap if that makes sense.Anyway, I am very happy with this and it's been so much better than using one of those cheap iron stands that just keep the tip propped up of of the bench.

I like this stand! The frame is neither over- nor under-built, just enough to be sturdy and stable on the desk without being extra heavy or even that bulky. In my old stand my iron's tip would touch the stand itself whereas this new one keeps it centered and doesn't drain the heat so much. [Note though that it's still not really designed for the kind of iron I'm using with it and might get a bit hot, but it's still an upgrade anyway!]I'm a huge fan of brass sponges and so to have one built in (after re-sticking the tub a bit when it came) is great. There's even some rosin in the bottom.
