Standard dowels for when you've lost some during setup, or that MAC Bids furniture came without them. Also great for crafts, if you need them! I've used a few to line up panels of multi-piece 3D prints before fusing them together and they really help keep things straight. Heavy duty for sure, provides optimal shelf support, probably even better than the ones it came with. Great price and fitment as long as this is the size you need.

It's nice that these come in their own little case.I thought they would fit in the bookcase slots but if I hammer them in I'm afraid I'll split the wood so I ordered the next smaller diameter size.I'm keeping them, though. Never know when they'll come in handy.

Perfectly good quality, just as described. According to my dial indicator, they are 0.295" x 1.575", or very close to the stated dimensions (4.953 x 40.005 mm).That said, they are VERY tight in my cabinets. Like, you have to hammer them in, and I'm worried they'll split something. You'd never get them out without pliers. Depending on your use case, that might be ideal - but I want something I can more easily adjust.

Works as intended. The plastic storage case is nice but the plastic hinges are molded so thin that they arrived already with the top half split apart from the bottom half just from the weight of the pins during shipment. The plastic hinge is so thin that they won't survive more than a few openings and closings without splitting even if they arrive intact. Pins measure true at 4.98mm to 4.99mm diameter and 40.1mm long.

I like that these are a strong metal dowel pin. What troubles me is that the amount of the peg that hoed into to peg hole is minute. To the point that it frightens me to place on it a cabinet shelf that holds glassware. Which I worry can cause an accident. I’m giving these a 5 rating as I grout exactly what I ordered. I knew it was an approximately a two-inch dowel pin. It is perfectly smooth and rounded. I could see how this dowel pin could be of great use to put equal halves on two sides of wood being connected. I’m trying to make this work as these are strong, good weighted dowel pins

~Perfect to repurposing~I am repurposing & making chairs for outdoors. These work perfect to make the back slats for the chairs. All I had to do was drill holes & put in & they work.Not only are they great for shelves but also for making back slats or anything you need a nail or screw but can not get them in it.I love how long & thick they are making it perfect so they do not come out.

The shelf pins are long! (Longer than I intended, so be sure you need them to be 1.5") The have a nice chamfer on the edge to help the insertion into the hole. Then seems of a durable quality and are for 1/4" holes. Being a completely round pin without a flat side I replaced all my pins so they would match in height on the shelf I installed them with. These could also be used as hinge pin since they are so long
