This thermal label printer works great for a small shipping department or home business. I use 4x6 labels to print all of my shipping labels and this thermal label printer prints them quickly and easily. The quality is crisp, clear and looks great. The feed is smooth and I love that I can use fan-folded labels or labels on a roll. The labels are stored inside the printer so it keeps them clean and unaffected by the light that may enter the room. This printer looks sleek and modern and is pretty easy to set up (just make sure to install the Zebra drivers!).I primarily use ShippingEasy to print my shipping labels and this printer is compatible with that program so I had no issues with formatting. All of my labels are printed crisply and clearly, which makes the printer a worthwhile investment. This printer comes with JetSet software if you are just getting started and seems to be a simple setup. The printer will print direct thermal labels only and is the perfect size for shipping. So far, the speed of the machine is great and it can easily handle the quantity of labels we need. The printer is a bit of a financial investment, but I think the results and ease of use make it well worth it!

This label printer was much easier to work then the one we were working with prior. Probably because we have experience with a label printer of this brand I believe from work. Anyway the print quality was nice and we had no compatibility issues. It was easier to print our labels on this one thankfully. Making it well worth the money.

I will say that the setup was a little cumbersome to get right. And it can be a little tricky to get the sizing right on the labels. But the quality is really good and once I got the drivers and settings dialed in, it's just been a solid workhorse for my home business that just does occasional shipping. Print quality is great and I know it's just going to work.I was not able to use the ZPL (zebra) drivers and had to set up a different driver connection using something called EPL I think. It wasn't super straightforward to install and configure but I was also trying to set up a ZT231 at the same time that also gave me a bunch of fits. I was able to eventually get it sorted out though and really enjoy using it now.

The Zebra ZD220 printer is a small footprint device with solid performance for those small to medium sized businesses needing a reliable label printer.Sure, it does have a rather large upfront cost to purchase as opposed to some other competitors, but I have seen many different Zebra models when I worked a quick stint the in warehousing operations in Boston at Gillette World Shaving Headquarters and this brand just seemed to never ever fail despite aging. They had some printers that were better than 10 years old, yet still performed as if they were still brand new.To highlight this particular barcode printer model you get a 203 DPI resolution which ensures clear and legible prints, which is essential for barcode labels and other identification tags in warehouse and shipping operations. The USB connectivity makes it easy to set up and use with a single workstation or various workstations and if you know your technical stuff, this printer can easily be connected to a wireless network or wired LAN to service many different devices at one time with ease.One of the standout features is the Standard EZPL software, which simplifies the printing process and allows for quick adjustments. The compact size of the printer doesn't take up much desk space, and it's perfect for small to medium-sized jobs, but do not let its size fool you. As I have stated already, Zebra makes a high quality piece of hardware and even though it may have a small footprint, it can perform better than most of it's counterparts.What makes this printer even better is that it's from Zebra Technologies, a company headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Supporting Zebra means supporting American manufacturing, which helps boost our economy and ensures we get high-quality products. It's always great to buy from US-based companies, and this printer exemplifies why!Overall, it's a dependable printer that gets the job done without any fuss while supporting our own manufacturers. This Zebra ZD220 installed easily and it works great. Legendary Zebra quality is legendary for a reason. The included Jetset software seems quite useful, though my label needs have been simple so far, so I haven't needed to dig into it. It's good to know it's there, and I'm planning on designing some demo labels with it to get a better grasp of its capabilities for future use. It seems like it can do quite a bit.

I have used Zebra Printers for 25 years in my business .... and they are always great, reliable printers and well worth the little extra you pay.This Thermal Transfer & Direct Transfer printer has not disappointed at all. I wish it were Bluetooth capable but the direct connection does provide a more reliable connection at all times. Definitely not a deal breaker.Setup was easy and fairly quick ... I accessed any drivers/updates that I needed directly from the Zebra website instread of using the included USB. I have just always found that the websites have the most recent updates and drivers. Just my preference.Having the dual function of this printer being Direct Thermal and Thermal Transfer has been a huge bonus for me. There are some labels that I don't mind fading over time as they aren't a permanent fixture in my business which is where I use the Direct Thermal option. But some labels are going to be in place for a very long time and the Thermal Transfer option is a better choice for that. Perfect combination of printing options.Overall, extremely pleased with this Zebra printer as I always have been with Zebra Products. Highly recommend. 5 STARS
