I use these bamboo fountains for my cats. I don’t know how many I have had over the years, but this one is the best so far. I don’t usually write a review this soon (1 day) after receiving a new product, but I don’t see anything going wrong with this one.First, it has a wider base, which may not matter to some people, but the base on previous fountains were almost too narrow to sit on the top of the bowl I use.Second, it has a much better pump, slightly larger, and the water flows out more smoothly. This may be because of a slightly different design.Third, I have had problems with previous fountains cavitating, that is, the water unexpectedly starts to run along the bottom of the spout and base, and then spill out on the floor instead of back into the bowl, emptying the bowl and flooding the floor.This style of fountain doesn’t appear to have that issue.Fourth, this design is going to be much easier to clean, since the waterline comes up through the back, instead of up through the base, so I can easily detach the spout from the base and clean it out inside with a small bottle brushI made one modification, I put a smear of silicone around the spout where the waterline enters the spout to seal it. I don’t know if it was necessary, but it was kind of preemptive, as it looked like a potential spot where water could leak out.The only two things I am not sure will be issues later on, is the three pieces of bamboo that create the base are lashed kind of loosely together, and whether the bamboo will blacken and get slimy with time. I clean it regularly but eventually they always deteriorate.

I’m honestly surprised at how great this little fountain looks. I was skeptical because it is priced so well. It is quiet and comes with a long cord that can be tucked away. Perfect for my little homemade balcony water feature.

I love this little fountain kit! It was super easy to install and is working great after a few weeks. I used a flower pot and put small plants and gravel in the bottom. Unfortunately it split down the middle of the spout after 3 months.

Obviously, this is the less expensive version of the bamboo fountain accessories available. Is it the nicest quality of construction and materials? No… but it works just fine for a simple, easy, and versatile bowl or flower pot fountain. I can add to it as I like or change the vessel with no hassle. The pump is small which works great for shallow fountains or when it’s hard to hide the black box. The hose did come slightly kinked from packaging, but warming it up and working the fold out fixed it without an issue.No complaints and the fast shipping was an extra bonus.
