This works great on my 3D printer's micro SD slot. It's difficult to reach in the enclosure, and now I can save the effort and the risk of damaging the slot, and just use this extender. It's a bit pricey, though.

being able to use a full-sized SD card with my PI is a plus as well. I use this in an older 3D printer that had a full sived slot, so this made it easier to access the firmware card on the new MCU I installed in it.
