Perfect size for 2-3 cups of rice. The plastic is sturdy enough when you add water and start rinsing the rice that it doesn’t feel unsteady. The handle is perfect for holding the bowl by while rinsing.

I purchased these 2 strainer basket type bowls for my daughter-in-law and she loves them! I already have mine. They make rinsing fruits and veggies so easy and yes, uses less water too. Easy to clean and just one more addition to a productive kitchen. You'll be glad you bought them.

Recently purchased a rice cooker and I was trying to get myself cheap washing bowls for rinsing brown rice and lentils.I cook for myself alone so the size of these bowls is adequate for that, but they are quite small. If you're trying to rinse for a whole family, I would probably suggest to look elsewhere.The drainage holes in this bowl are small, but they're still large enough that rice can get itself stuck in them. Anything smaller than rice, like quinoa, will simply not work. Lentils rinse well. This would be fine for most smaller fruits and vegetables in quantities suited for smaller households, but if you want a bowl for rice specifically, or are making high quantities of food, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

WAY smaller than I expected. Can only wash about a cup of rice at a time. They are sturdy enough but not really big enough for my family.
