The chains are pretty strong and the metal snake around the "stone" are sleek and tough as well. Easy to install and easy to adjust if necessary.The "stone" has a magnificent glow that starts with only about 2 minutes of sunlight. Simply stunning.

I needed a pull chain in a dark area if my basement and this says it glows in the dark, but it doesn’t.

These are beautiful, delicate looking and they do glow in the dark after being exposed to light. I have them on my ceiling fan in the living room and one on the ceiling fan in my sun room. They were easy to attach with the extension chains that were included.
