A true 40 pin. Nothing blocked. Pretty good soldering. No pins removed that I could see. Works great with RC2014 projects.

Most CompactFlash cards can be directly connected to PCs as ATA devices, so can be used just like a mechanical disk. This adapter is primarily a converter between the bigger and smaller connectors, so there's not a lot to go wrong. The soldering looks pretty dull, but that may be the result of a lead-free formulation or something similar rather than a process problem. Large-capacity DOMs seem to be pricier and less common than similarly sized CF cards, so this can be an economical solution limited only by what capacity the BIOS supports. No power cables were included, so you'll need your own splitter, extension, adapter, etc.
