I wanted to tinker with my Raspberry Pi and LEGO... didn't want the stock (expensive) lego motor... and I liked that these had dual ports for axels on them. They work VERY well, not quite 360 degrees... like 350 maybe... but MUCH more than the standard 180 to 270 degrees you normally get. Pleanty of power, fairly quiet, and VERY consistent positioning... well made.
