I purchased these for my camper bed frame. There were no supports under the bed, so using the storage was impossible. I have an older inner spring RV mattress with a newer foam mattress and a 4 inch topper. The weight of this made it impossible for one person to lift the bed and access the storage. These shocks claim 100 pound capacity, which I was hoping would be enough. It is not. It does make it much easier to open, but does not come close to holding it up. Still, it's much easier to access than before. Installation was fairly easy, despite the complete lack of instructions.

These work great for the flag wall boxes I make.. Not much else to say about them..

I took the ones with the less pressure and one is enough to hold my hood up, i put both to prevent the hood from twisting. I has to make custom brackets to clear my shocks towers

The metal hooks bent I have to order a new product the metal is too cheap the whole lid is about 60lb

Very hard to pre-compress. I considered damaging one to allow me to plan the arc.The brackets are miss drilled in that the ball stud hole is too big and another, unrelated hole is the proper size. New holes will be required but there seems to be enough beef on the brackets to allow them to be used after modifications.This may be a loss leader sell off. The price suggests this since the actual piston seems to be of fine quality.I now have four different varieties of pneumatic piston cylinders and am happy to have this one in the collection.

I did not rate "sturdiness" because I haven't had them long. Otherwise, well-assembled and were easy to replace. If you are buying these as replacements, take some time and check out the little wire insert that can be removed so you don't have to replace the brackets, just pop them out at the ball joint.
