I was a bit frustrated at first when I installed them. I’m pretty good installing things so this isn’t because I didn’t know what I was doing. I wanting these to hang bikes vertical between the garage doors. I used the anchors provided and installed the books. But when I hung the bikes they were pulling the books down. I didn’t trust that these weren’t going to the hooks and anchors right out of the wall. I ended up moving them off centered into the studs, which are sturdier now. I would make sure if you get these to make sure the put them in a stud only!

I put up 3 hooks thinking I needed three. What I realized after hanging the bike with 2 hooks by the handle bars, was that's all I needed. I used a 13/64 diameter pilot drill. I weigh 185 pounds and the 2 hooks held me up.
