These sensors are not very good for esp32, or 8266 using ESPHome. Tested on both. There are consistent commuication timeout errors in the logs. They read 2 to 5 degrees F off, they increase in temperature substantally when placed 3 ft under an LED desk light, OR when placed in their own enclosure (think DHT22 which is actually more stable than this sensor) If you need a sensor to measure changes in temp, these are fine. If you need actual temp for climate control, or a weather station, look elsewhere.
