I installed this on my trailer for a 14' vhull, not a big/heavy boat. First off, the U bolts on this are HUGE. The gap between the threaded rods is at least 3 inches, and the threaded section is probably about 4" long. Well past the reach of my deep-well sockets, so I ended up wrenching a good bit to install. Took over an hour for a bolt-on part. But I got it well secured to help guide my little boat.I know how to load a boat onto a trailer, so it wasn't misused, been driving boats for 35 years. The second time I launched my boat with this roller on, I noticed that the roller was missing and the end cap had come off the bolt. Very disappointing.
