How to install right struts?
Step 1 : Measurement
If your lid width is between 30-40 inch, choose the 20 inch gas strut
If your lid weight is between 80-110 lbs, choose the 100 lbs gas strut
Example with lid raised to 90°
Step 2 : Calculation
Upper Bracket A : Making CA = CE * (20%-30%)
Lower Bracket B : Making BC > CA + AD

Delivery was in given time line.Product was as specified.Only complaint was that the struts should come not mounted to the brackets as retaining clips are hard to access and release.End result was that the product did what I needed.

I was a little sceptical on these struts due to the low price but so far, they are awesome. I use them for my chicken coop' nesting box which the roof top is roughly 40" x 20". I overengineered my coop with double wall, insulated construction that made it a little difficult (due to the weight) for my kids to hold open the nesting box's roof when they are charged to pick the eggs each morning. These struts work great for my application and make my coop look like it's a factory kit than a homemade coop.We'll see if these struts last but so far, so good.

I used them for some flip-up porch windows that I made. Well, “windows” might be an overstatement- more like, screens. Thick marine grade vinyl stretched and sandwiched in a 4x4ft frame made out of 1x3 pine - that’s just to give an idea of the overall weight. The frames are pivot-hinged horizontally about a quarter way down, so when I open the window, 3ft swings up and out, and 1ft comes back down and inward. These things were perfect. Also, in general, I’ve had much better success with this, larger diameter tube style, they still fail now and then, but nowhere near as often as the more common thinner ones. Also, this seller is cool. Recommending. And no, I didn’t receive any discounts or freebies. How do people even get that? I see so many reviews are written “in exchange for” this or that. Literally, not once have I been offered anything like that.

Gas lifts were delivered as promised. Lifts were used on a woodworking machine to keep a heavy metal shroud up while servicing the machine. I did not want to pay a hefty price and shipping for the European replacement parts. These lifts did the job admirably at a fraction of the price. I would not hesitate top buy again.

Struts are working great on my 70lb door hatch! Upon arrival my package was missing the mounting hardware, but I contacted customer support. Arana was extremely responsive... they fixed the missing bracket snafu by sending the replacement brackets (and additional struts) and they arrived within a day! Excellent, affordable product.

I had the installation done by a professional. They definitely help lifting the platform, But it needs to be supported to remain open. Kind of a pain. But better than having to lift the lid by myself.

Worked great, I am impressed with the quality. They were easy to install with the ball joints and all of the hardware that was included. They were the best value for the money I found after very exhaustive searching online, eBay, and other products on Amazon. They are very strong and after a month are still working great.
