A bit of assembly is required, but it's fairly self explanatory. I just hope it lasts longer than the other one, which split the aluminum from the weight/forces at the engine.

The instructions don’t match the transom saver. There are no holes drilled in the outer tube like shown in the instructions. Nothing showing how or where to drill holes needed.

So far this looks good, fits my 15 HP four stroke Yamaha well and appears sturdy, of good quality and effective. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because you have to test something like this over months to see durability.

This is a must for holding the motor steady when transporting on the boat. I go down 15 miles of dirt road that is fairly rough, this steadied the motor as I had hoped. Highly recommend this but you do need power trim for this to work right.

Not all transom saver's are the same. This transom saver has a claw feature which makes a huge difference! Our last one slipped every time we would drive over a bump in the road. We've had zero issues with this one!
