Tool is fine for what it is, pretty handy in a pinch or for quick projects. My biggest complaint is I have the matching mini screw driver and the charging cables and ports are completely different. I understand power can be different but the same re chargeable tool line should have some continuity and multi device functionality. Is this an iPhone from year to year ?! Come on. Still a reliable tool but would be better off with a consistent line with more adaptive functions.

I really wanted to love this tool, but I don't. B&D fell short on this one. With the proper adjustments this could be a great tool.First off, this is the third oscillating tool I own. I have a corded Multi-max MM50 that I use for many projects. I also have a 20V cordless model from an unknown company that is also awesome. I have many B&D tools that are part of their 20V MAX series, and I love them.I like the fact that B&D is using recycled material for the outer casing. I wish all tool manufacturers did this by default. Is recycled plastic more expensive? This should be a given, not reserved for a special line, so kudos to B&D for at least moving in that direction.Second, I love the idea of the spring clamp for holding the accessories (blades). It seems so obvious. I do notice that B&D use the same clamp on some of their 20V oscillating tools, so it isn't exclusive to this model. The spring clamp makes it quick to move between cutting, scraping and sanding. While I like the spring clamp idea, it doesn't fit the main accessory I use; a semi-circular cutting blade. The support bridge on those blades gets in the way of the clamp, and won't attach. For cutting, I use that type of blade, 80% of the time.Along with that issue, B&D says you can use the universal adapter to mount most pieces that won't fit in the clamp. The problem is, they don't include the adapter pieces with this unit. In the manual they give you the parts numbers so you can order the pieces yourself. This seems like a cost cutting move. The 20V Max oscillating tool comes with the universal adapter pieces. The next issue I have is with the lack of power in the tool. This is a 12V system, not part of their 20V Max line. For most plunge cutting I did with this tool, it was fine. I noticed the difference when I was sanding. There is definitely a power drop with this tool. So, while I like the idea of where this tool is going; I feel B&D cut corners in order to pander to those who want tools made from recycled plastics. Underpowered and missing key features make this a tool that I would not grab to use. Unfortunately, this would sit unused on a shelf in my workshop.

Currently charging this up, can hardly wait to use it!! Any tool that’s cordless, I’m all about it! This is a 12v cordless oscillating saw, comes with the charging cord, includes 8 sanding pads, plus three different cutting tools for whatever needs you may have. I recently built a bar and needed something to cut into baseboards for a tight fit. This is the perfect tool for that job! Takes a couple of hours to fully charge tool, but once it’s charged up, can last a few hours depending on the use. Super easy to use, if you need to switch tools, simply push the small black lever and you can easily slide off one tool and place another in. Not like the older oscillators with those large levers that took both hands to use. Comes in a nice sturdy box that you can store the tool plus accessories in. Black & Decker is a well known brand and one of the top of the lines you can get, especially if you are a beginner. This is a great starting point price wise. But honestly the best part is the fact that it is cordless. No more turning the saw on and starting a project and nearly sawing into the cord that is in your way!!! Cordless is the only way to go! Love this oscillating saw, cannot wait to add to my cordless collection of tools

Worked for less than 10 minutes, wouldn't run for more than a minute or so without shutting off and now won't turn on at all. Don't remember what I paid for it but will definitely remember it wasted my time.
