A year or so ago, I replaced the resevior on my 2006 325xi with an aftermarket one. After which, we kept getting random, low coolant warning. This one, definitely different, and no more warnings. Issue is fixed.How to replace: Remove a few bolts, Pull res up, and manuver res to access sensor, unplug, twist sensor to unlock and pull out. reverse to install. Done. It was a little hard to turn the old one out. The cams, lock in place pretty good, but still twisted out with a little force. Try no to break it, but i used plyers, and did not break.

Great. This is an updated part (compared to the original which has two wires, this is the new blue one where the wiring is enclosed in some plastic). Despite Amazon's claim it doesn't fit, it fit perfectly and works perfectly in my '05 325i M56. Should fit any E46 as far as I know.

I rebuilt my cooling system on my 2005 BMW 352i. This sensor is OEM quality at a very nice value.

Looks like this is an updated version. The original sensor that I took out had an exposed tip; this one is covered. I changed it as a precaution when replacing the coolant reservoir. Fit and finish is fine!
