My original level sensor wasn't sensoring anymore. Took it to the bench and measured a resistance that was too high for it to signal a low level. Interesting about the system is that there are no provisions by Mercedes to sense a broken sensor. More interesting, if the connector would fall off the sensor, the indicator on the dash would not recognize the failure. So be careful and check fluids manually if you have a Mercedes E320, W124 with the M104 Engine.I guess Mercedes goofed with the logic, an open should always trigger a failure, but Mercedes opted to reverse the logic. Bummer! You would never know that your fluid is low, with a broken sensor!Although URO does not have a good reputation, this sensor does fit without any issues.How long does it work?Only time will tell, if I don't forget to check on it.

If your coolant level warning light is on but there's plenty coolant, you probably need this.Easy to fit and works perfectly.

I broke as I was putting it on, then I had to solder back together. It works okay. I recommend it, just be careful.
