Works as intended but I am not 100% sure about its accuracy. We have a 165 degree thermostat in our V8 454. We put in a new water temp gauge and this sender and it shows our engine running at 210. That is a HUGE difference so I am not sure where the problem is. Our engine Oil runs at about 175-180 so I tend to think the water temp sender or gauge is off. Since both the sender and the gauge are Bosch I'm not sure which is the problem without replacing both the gauge and sender again. Maybe if Bosch offered to replace both Water temp gauge and sender for me I could make it 4 or 5 stars. Hint hint...

I finally got around to installing this and it does what it's supposed to do. I went with this sender because it covered the full temp range I needed, up to 285°. Local parts stores all had universal senders but they only went up to 265° and I didn't want to take the chance of a misreading between the sender and my gauge. Yes, it was more than twice the cost of a universal sender, but at least I know it's compatible with my gauge.
