Was about to put my Shark hand vac in the trash when I saw this battery. Tool me 15 mins to install since the original battery was melted inside the vacuum.. That was the hardest part, to remove the old battery from inside. After removing it was super easy, just reconnected the wires , black to black, red to red and wow, my old vac is running like a champ.. way stronger than before and this battery lasts the double of the original since it has more capacity.. loved the upgrade.. worth it.

Old battery pack had 15 1.2 volt batteries that were completely dead. New is 8 2.25 volt so pack is smaller. Plugs right in and as or more powerfull then when new. Will need to put some foam rubber in to hold smaller battery back.snug.

The capacity of the rechargeable battery is now 2500mA vs less than 1500mA on previous replacement battery and the price from Keeptop is equivalent or lower.The size is much smaller than original replacement battery, less heavy.But I had to add ''fillers'' inside battery compartment to secure battery in place and prevent movement.

My old battery registered 17.05 volts and would no longer hold a charge. Battery voltage should be 18-20 volts so time to get a new one. This new battery arrived almost fully charged. Installation was simple by removing the single screw holding down the back cover, lifting out the old battery, removing both red and black plug-in clips, and reversing the process with the new battery. I set the unit on the charging stand for about 1 hour before using the vacuum. Works great again and MUCH less expensive than buying a new vacuum.
