* Do not install the sensor in a place that is exposed to direct sunlight or in a place that is easily affected by temperatures other than air temperature, such as an air conditioner outlet.
* Do not step on the tip of the sensor.
* Install the sensor so that the tip of the sensor is exposed in the space where it does not come into contact with the metal surface of the body or the road surface.

The display, especially the blue “external” one, is so dim as to be unreadable except in complete darkness - and even then only by squinting. Returning this product.

I received this thermometer on March 28 and didn't take time to install it until May 2nd,which is after the return period. After getting it powered up I see that some of the LEDs do not work. If you buy one of these you should check to see that it works ASAP or you'll be stuck like I am.

Be sure to place the outside sensor away from the engine heat and out of direct sunlight. I placed it to the side of the front grill below the bumper.
