Does the job. Does not slide around and keeps drops of liquid from seeping through to the area rugs.

When you are naturally clumsy like me. It doesn't go well with painting. I accidentally spilled a quart of paint on this dropcloth and it did not go through to the carpet. I have a thinner drop cloth that will leak through. For me the heavier dropcloth is the best solution. Happy painting.

Took it out of the package and looks to be pretty good. Thick material and should work for it's intended use as a drop cloth for painting. However, two (2) things jumped out at me. 1.) Based on package in Amazon advertisement, you'd never know this product isn't made in the USA. The package announces it's "CHICAGO" CANVAS & SUPPLY. However, the sheet in package says it's made in India. Don't mind, but be up front about what you're selling. 2.) The package says this drop cloth measures 4' foot x 15' foot. I laid drop-cloth out next to a wall (in bedroom) that I know is 15' and it came up short. So I measured it and, it measured only 14' foot 1" inch long. That's not acceptable. I didn't check the 4' foot width, but that wasn't as important to me. In my opinion, 15' foot should measure 15' foot, or even a few inches over. Again, the product looks well made, but just want to get what I'm paying for.

I had to install a sound insulating roof - with just a staple gun it made the whole place quieter!

Just what I wanted no weird seems. Nice heavy but not to heavy perfect for my craft im going to order more but get bigger size to make shade sail for back deck. This one im going to make 2 smaller triangle shape shade sails for area where my flowers grow outside by front corner of my house. I live in south Carolina very hot and no shade for my flowers & using these drop clothes 10oz weight and treating them with spray can of water repellent .small s hooks and I will use outside dod line that are metal but plastic coated after punching small holes in drop cloth corner and putt metal gromlett around the holes ( im not 100 percent on name gromlett) I got these metal ring thing in jewelry making section and little tool to snap them on both items less than 7 $ . but I can make 3 sun shades for 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost to buy them already made. It would cost me around 175.00 to buy the 3 already made. These are going to be super easy to make no sewing for the big one for deck. Two smaller triangle if I cut right should only have to sew or could use heat bond tape with iron 2 or 3 seem hems. Water repellent spray in camping section 10$ u may find it cheaper than that . you can bleach these if you want or you can get rite dye follow directions on bottle its easy to do if you want to dye it to match your other stuff. Its getting warm enough outside here so im going to start making mine very soon. 1st I need to order the other bigger size. Happy crafting

After reading a ton of reviews on canvas drop cloths I almost did not order one: complaints like bad odor, seams in the middle, bad stitching, etc. This product was a little more costly but had better reviews.I ordered the largest size they offered, a 12 x 15. The cotton duck is sturdy and heavyweight. No seam in the middle. It’s an impressive singular piece of fabric! The stitching on the edges is not the prettiest, but it is not an issue for my purposes. We do quite a bit of painting, and this is great cloth for that, as it is heavy enough to stay in place, covers a lot of territory, and is thick enough to prevent paint and stain bleeding through. In this case I won’t be using it for painting, but to protect a leather couch from two kittens we adopted. The couch would be in shreds by now if not for the drop cloth, and the kittens’ climbing and jumping appears to have no effect of the cotton duck fabric. I think it’s their favorite playground now!I could see using these drop cloths as large curtains on a patio or porch, but that would require some hefty hooks, as there is quite a bit of weight.I made the right decision on this drop cloth!

I emphasis "drop cloth" in my review title because that's how this product is advertised and what it is designed to be. I've read some unfavorable reviews of Chicago Canvas drop cloths here on Amazon, not just for this 9' x 12' listing but other sizes as well. I think it is unfair when some reviewers give these drop cloths a less than favorable rating because they used it as if it were advertised as drapery or upholstery fabric and it failed to meet their expectations.Canvas fabric by the yard can be found here on Amazon advertised and deigned for that specific purpose, but this isn't one of those products. If some folks want to use this contractor grade canvas drop cloth to decorate their home that's their business and I hope it works out well for them. But to be fair, this product was not designed for that purpose and makes no claims in that regard. To give it a bad review because it didn't work as a slip cover on a sofa is like giving a drill a bad review because it didn't work well as a mixer. As a drop cloth this does exactly what it says it will do. It catches stray drops of paint and prevents them from landing on floors or furniture. It is also good when used to help prevent tracking. I prefer canvas drop cloths to plastic for their durability, portability and because they stay in place without the need to use tape. This Chicago Canvas drop cloth is among the highest quality I have used and I'm pleased with my purchase. Some reviewers have commented on the sizing and in this regard I think the listing could be more descriptive. The package this comes in indicates that it is a 9' x 12' cut size, but an approximately 8.5' x 11.5' finished size. This information should be shown in the listing specifics. Also, while some reviewers have given this negative reviews because it shrinks, I have never heard of a cotton material that doesn't so I'm unsure as to why they think this would behave any differently. It doesn't claim to be pre-shunk cotton. It's a contractor grade drop cloth, and for this use it does everything a drop cloth should do.
