My package did not come with the counter top kitchen composter. I reached out to Amazon customer service who was unable to help me with this problem. They referred me to the manuafacturer who appears to be overseas. I expect that it is going to be very difficult to get the missing item.

I bought this compost starter set in August because I was tired of throwing away great organic material. We have 1/3 acre of yard and garden so there's a lot of great material we could be composting. I wanted something enclosed so our dog wouldn't get into it. After a bit of research, this compost Wizard seemed to fit the bill. When it arrived, it was super easy to get set up. I did take another reviewer's advice and drill a couple holes in the base for water to drain through (we're in the Pacific Northwest and get a lot of rain and snow). The composter started out on the side of our house where the sun hit it 5-6 hours/day but we moved it out to the center of the yard for winter so it would get all the sunshine that peeks out.I have not emptied the composter yet because I keep adding material into it every few days - even when the yard was covered in snow and the temps were around 5° f. Yard waste and kitchen scraps break down pretty quick and with little to no noxious odor. Rotating the composter can be a bit tough when it's full but the handles help tremendously. I'm an out-of-shape 50-something year old woman and rotate the Wizard twice a week.If you're thinking about giving composting a try, you can't go wrong with this starter kit.

This is my first time composting, and the Compost Wizard Starter Kit was amazing. I don't have a green thumb at all, so I was nervous that I would fail at composting. This bin makes everything SO easy!! I live in Los Angeles, and I had my scraps begin the second stage of decomposing and steaming up in a week. I haven't had it fully mature into compost yet, but it seems as if it will get there in no time. I did a bit of research online, and the only thing I would recommend is getting an aerator and to chop food scraps with a food processor. Lastly, the price is good and the shipping was faster than expected. Can't wait to start spreading the black gold into our yard!

This is ok for the price. Just not big enough for the amount of compost i make. I still use it for small batches of specialized compost.

The tumbler is great. I can't wait for the compost to be ready. The tumbling system is so easy, even a foot can turn it.Customer service at Amazon is fantastic, too. For some reason I only received the Tumbler but not the starter kit that went with it. The person I talked to helped me, in a very creative way, receive the missing items. Thanks again.

I admit I was skeptical, but this really is as easy as everyone is describing. I'm big on recycling, and I've always hated waste from the kitchen going into the trash, but I didn't want to mess with a compost pile in my small yard- between the critters and the work of turning it, it just didn't seem like a way I wanted to allocate my precious lawn space, so a tumbler seemed like a good idea. I considered a partitioned tumbler, but decided it would be too small for the needs of my household, so I went with this one and I'm happy I did.This comes in one large box, and all you have to do is put the 'drum' inside the base. I took the advice of another reviewer and pre-drilled a drainage hole in the base to keep water from sitting there and becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes- that would be a nice feature for the manufacturer to develop. The compost container for the kitchen is nice, large enough and well designed. The compost starter kits are good to have, and overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase- everything you need to get started composting.I will be buying a second one, since while one is loaded up and "cooking" you can continue to add green and brown material to the "active" composter in a rotation system.

Once this thing is loaded even 1/2 way, it is nearly impossible to spin. The rollers aren't smooth at all, they bump and catch. None of the other reviews mentioned this problem so maybe the wheels on mine are duds or something. I ended up giving it away and getting a different one. This is also NOT for anyone with back problems as it is very close to the ground and the hand holds to spin are very far apart. Very disappointed in it.

The compost tumbler it's self was fine, but my compaint is about the kitchen pail that comes with it. First of all, it advertised a metal kitchen pail and I was sent a bamboo one. Not only was it not what i was expecting, but it was also broken. the handle knobs were both broken off.

I have been wanting to get a composter for some time. This kit is perfect for getting started. Everything you need in one kit. So easy to set up, only took minutes.. Light weight , easy to carry. Fairly easy to turn once filled. Arrived quickly, easy set-up. What more could you want. Excellent product in every way! Wish I hadn't waited so long to get it. I would recommend this to everyone!
