Have had it for a while now and it has read every card I've put in it. For the price and how problem-free it is, this is very good value.

Unable to use it because I do not have the socket that this adaptor requires. The PCMIA adaptor that I have will not accept it. I kept it in hopes that I would find the correct adaptor socket.

, DigiGear Model SDXCPA ignores an SD series card's write protect notch. When I asked about this, SHOPDIGI reported all their similar adapters ignore write protect. If you want to always have write capability (for instance, to repurpose or securely erase cards even if lacking a write enable slider), this is what you want.If you use write protect to prevent unintended changes to a card's formatting or content (my situation), you'll need a different product. On the good side, in my testing the SDXCPA worked even with Windows 2000 SP4 Updates Rollup 1. I didn't install any driver, I just plugged the adapter in and it worked. Old operating systems thus have some chance of working with this adapter.

Needed this for an older Mercedes vehicle audio system to play SD card loaded audio. Very hard to come by and the used SanDisk ones go for $50+. This was a great price and came highly recommended. Popped it in the vehicle and after about 10 seconds it loaded all the songs and folders. So far working great.

I looked long and hard before purchasing this PCMCIA converter and plugging it into my Mercedes as, like so many others - clearly, there have been more than a few instances of people wiping their COMAND system. I paired this unit with a generic 32GB Scandisk micro SD card (via insertion into a standard SD card adapter - which then plugged into the PCMCIA PC card). I loaded the micro SD card up with about 6 GB of music (all MP3 format) and it worked flawlessly.Of note, the PCMCIA card is a snug fit into the car's slot (not tight, but definitely snug) and it is far easier to remove the spring-ejectable SD card (technically the SD adapter holding my micro SD card) than it is to remove the whole PCMCIA card and then disassemble the three tier system to load/reaload data onto the actual memory device, so this will be my MO going forward. For the record my car is a 2009 S class MB. If anyone is considering this unit for their car of similar vintage, I feel comfortable saying this set-up works just fine.

Works exactly as advertised; replaced an older Sandisk 6-1 PCMCIA card reader which only read up to SDHC formats (32GB) with this one - lets me read 128GB cards - exactly what I needed. As for read/write speeds - the PCMCIA adapter interface has always been painfully slow - and I have a USB card adapter which is much faster - but this slides in the PCMCIA slot and stays there. Installed in my trusty Dell D620, which has no SD-card slot. WIN 10 had no probs recognizing it.

This works for a Honda premium navigation system. Load MP3 or WMA files onto the SD card, plug it into this, insert it into Nav system, select "card" and viola! instant music, podcasts or whatever. Once it is inserted, you do not need to remove it, you can pull out the SD card with tweezers or fine pliers and insert a new SD card while this PCMCIA card is still locked into the stereo unit.BTW:I have read that, for Honda navigation systems, you cannot use an SD card greater than 4GB, It may work but not reliably. I don't know this first hand but 4GB is like 12,000 MP3 songs. Oh yeah, If you reformat the card select either FAT or FAT32 file system, newer XFAT or NTFS formats will not work since the 2006 - 2011 Honda sound systems were developed using the older file systems. The unit closes snug and the size is just right.

Works perfectly for my HP Convertible tablet. I needed a way to store about 50 gig of data on the tablet without burning up disk space and this worked perfectly. Pulled out the PCMCIA cover, slide the unit in, popped in a 64 gig SDXC card, copied the data onto the card and it works likes a charm. This adapter with the SDXC card installed does not stick out from the tablet, so no chance of me breaking it off by accident, like the flash drive sticking out of the USB port. I would recommend this product.
