UPDATE: I’ve upped my rating. One of the two ports is still not working but I figured out that in addition to the dead port the other issues were not related to the switcher. I discovered I was using unidirectional cables. My fault. As part of my testing routine I was using many different cables but only realized there was something else going on when my next switcher arrived and was having similar issues.Given the solid reviews this product had prior, and that my new switcher arrived as expected, anything less than 3-4 stars isn’t fair.——I’m not going to completely bash the thing with a single star because it looks decent and had decent intentions? It’s not her fault she was born differently and half of her was dead completely (one of the two output ports). I tried every combination of DP cable available to man. Tested everything for about 2 hours. I’m calling it! She has to go back to her broken home!

Maybe this works in the UK? - since there are a lot of positive Amazon Vine reviews from there... but here in the great old US of A... it doesn't work. After trying multiple configurations, and purchasing a completely new set of cables rated for 8K at 60Hz, I've given up. I have two monitors connected to two computers. One computer works OK with two, but when I switch, only one of the two monitors are supported. My thought is that they under-specified the power supply. I got the 2nd monitor to flicker on... but it will not stay on. Nothing wrong with my devices, since it all works fine without the KVM in the middle. I have not idea who tested this device, or why there are any positive reviews, but in my configuration, it does not work as specified.

This KVM switch is a great addition for anyone managing two computers. It supports 8K resolution for stunning visuals and allows me to easily switch between devices with the press of a button. The desktop controller adds extra convenience, and the USB ports work smoothly with my peripherals. Setting it up was straightforward, and it’s compatible with a wide range of systems. It’s a real time-saver for multitasking!

Ordered via vine. This unit is well constructed unit for the price, I like the black as opposed the the typical graphite grey for peripherals as its just tidier and easier to hide. It has enough HDMIs and USB inputs for a modest setup that doesn't requite too many inputs, and although I don't really need the max resolution the 4K @ 120 hz is more than enough for my 144Hz Monitor based on my usage anyway.I do like the big LED indicator and also the remote switch via 3.5mm was a good idea and again helps keep your desk tidy. Although at 1M it would have been better if this was 1.5-2m with a cable tie.Or for not alot of money they could have gone down the remote control route with a basic remote and IR sensor. But i'm not going to downvote it because of that, you can buy those if that's what you really want.If you can hide it well enough out the way it works well, and it has a nice glossy finish with the logo at the top, so it actually looks quite good and is reasonably compact. But its the cables themselves that means you probably want to hide this and control remotely when possible. For the price I'm fine with it, to give it 4/5 stars for the connectivity it has I think it's priced ok

This KVM is very useful to share resources which saves on cost. Once set up, it can share a set of monitor/keyboard/mouse with two computers seamlessly just on the press of a button. It is small, sturdy, and overall, very helpful. It functions pretty seamlessly for me. I use it with different systems and have no real issues. It also draws power from USB -- some have concerns about not having USB power, and depending on the systems you've attached it to, that might make a difference, but I haven't need the external 5V, and that's a plus. It supports monitors of up to 8K60Hz. However, make sure you have the compatible HDMI cable (not all HDMI cables are the same). There are some issues common for KVM systems, even older PS2/VGA systems, it's always the same sort of problem. The connected systems don't know what's going on and expect keyboard, mouse, and monitor to always be attached. However, this KVM can detect a keyboard or mouse without rebooting the computer. The only thing you need to do is adjust the sleep time for the computer, if the computer goes into sleep mode the switch will not wake it up, otherwise this is a great switch. Here are some highlights:Seamless Switching: The switch between my two computers is incredibly smooth and fast with just the press of a button. The wired remote switch is a brilliant addition, allowing me to keep my desk clutter-free. However, it does not support Hotkey Switching.Crystal-Clear Display: The 4K resolution at 60Hz is stunning! The visuals are crisp and detailed, making my work and entertainment experience top-notch.Plug and Play: Setup was a breeze. No need for additional power supplies or driver software. Just plug it in, and it works flawlessly.Build Quality: The aluminium material feels sturdy and durable. It’s clear that this KVM switch is built to last. This KVM switch was really affordable and works great most of the time. I have been using it for a month and am really pleased with it. With this switch and can easily switch from my MAC to my PC with a push of a button. The transition is quick and seamless. Works perfectly. I tried another brand and had nothing but trouble, first with it working, to then not displaying my MAC, then not working with my PC! With this switch there is no trouble, no additional software required, works right out of the box. It is very easy to set up. The only thing I wish it had was a port for my 3.5mm audio plug for my desktop speakers. I can highly recommend this product without hesitation.

If you need to share computer keyboard and mouse then this kvm switch may be of use to you. Its a quite a small kvm switch, but it packs a lot. In the box you get the unit itself, the manual, two usb cables and a remote cable so you can put the box away or hide it down the back of your desk to keep it tidy. The box setup is pretty easy once you read the manual. The actual unit is quite small and has a colorful led to indicate which unit you are connected to. Its a faily standard setup, one keyboard, mouse, and monitor to two person computers and their displays. This works out well if people only use the setups on alternate occasions. However you are not restricted to just that kind of setup, you can also use it for hooking up a retro gaming system and then connecting it to your standard hdmi monitor and utilising the keyboard and mouse without having to disconnect them from the original host unit. Which is ideal if you dont want to use two keyboard setup. So it also saves space if you are looking at using multiple retro devices.Providing your monitor and device support it, you can also utilise upto 8K/4k at 60hz. Obviously this is dependant on your particular hardware being compatible. You will need a display and cable that supports 8k output for this to work however. So you will need a hdmi 2.1 certified cable. The remote is pretty simple, but it does work, just a simple switch between the two modes on a trailing cable, the switch will indicate either blue or green on the box when your in either connected mode.Pros: Great for space saving between keyboard mouse and display setups, easy to use.Cons: Cable dependant beyond 4k for supported output with hdmi 2.1
