I have four desktops connected to this right out of the box with a wired keyboard and mouse the when i boot the computers the KVM does not recognize the keyboard or mouse, i followed instructions and it will not work at all.

It connects to 4 computers and 2 monitors, as well as 4 other USB devices. This is a plug and play device and I have not had any problems with it. The ports are sturdy and connect well. The additional remote lets you choose between a remote and a push button switch, and I find that I prefer it now that I've gotten used to using the remote.

Once connected, there is an internal IR on the unit for remote control, and an external IR that you can place anywhere more convenient, so the switch can be placed underneath a table or rack, and the external IR above, so that all switching can be done via the remote control, which is very convenient.

Everything worked fine when connected and I now have a couple spare ports for other machines. I like the remote control instead of the remote switch I'm used to. For the price, I had high expectations, but it did not disappoint. I have no complaints about this product!
